Qualification:
- Diploma/degree in civil engineering plus a minimum of 4 years of on-field construction experience in the real estate industry.
- Knowledge of construction processes, quality control processes, and reporting mechanisms.
- Familiar with various construction methods and materials, their characteristics, inspection protocols, tolerance, and installation procedures.
- Agility with computer and software skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (word, excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as problem-solving ability.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review or prepare (if needed) Quality Plan for the project.
- Review or formulate (if needed) method statements, activity checklists, inspection and testing plan.
- Advice contractors on QC processes to be followed and documentation to be maintained.
- Ensure that method statements are communicated periodically to workers and records are maintained.
- Respond to, inspect and approve RFIs / WIRs for construction activity on site and maintain traceability of approvals or rejections as applicable.
- Witness testing and inspection of materials arriving on site as per ITP and approve/reject batch as per test results.
- Conduct daily walkaround on site to identify issues for rectification. Record, communicate and track observations till closure.
- Issue, track and ensure closure of NCRs ensuring a thorough root cause analysis and an assessment of corrections and corrective actions for the deviation.
- Witness cube tests, maintain test results, decide and initiate action based on results.
- Ensure and document the implementation of best practices in terms of construction activities and related processes.
- Prepare weekly and monthly summary reports for management review and actions.
