Sanjay Kumar Singh, academically a Civil Engineer from BITS (1987–1991 Batch, Ranchi University), is a seasoned EHS professional with 35 years of extensive experience in a pioneering career involving EHS functions in various capacities. He holds qualifications including PGD, IPPC (from AIP Chennai, under the auspices of Indo-German Collaboration), ADIS (MSTEB), Green Building & LEED Rating (IGBC), and Corporate Sustainability Management (CII, India & CIDA, Canada). He is also a Certified Consultant & Trainer (Asian Productivity Organization, Tokyo), a TBEM Assessor, and an ISO Lead Auditor.

With a modest beginning as a Part-Time Lecturer at BITS (1991–1993), his career progressed significantly with the National Productivity Council of India (a Government of India undertaking), where he worked for 10 years as an EHS Consultant & Trainer in the capacities of Specialist Trainee, Assistant Director, and Deputy Director.

In 2004, he transitioned to the private sector to further enhance and demonstrate his EHS management skills, particularly in the construction industry. He has held leadership roles in organizations such as Aamby Valley City, HCC Ltd, HIRCO Development Pvt. Ltd., the Mumbai Monorail Project (L&T-SCOMI Consortium), and Tata Housing Development Company Ltd., serving as Head of the EHS function at both project and corporate levels.

From July 2014 to September 2017, he worked as a freelance EHS professional. Subsequently, he joined Capacit’e Infraprojects Ltd. as their Corporate Head – HSE, in the capacity of Joint President.

His last assignment was with Adani Realty as Business Safety Head, from where he superannuated on 31st March 2025, upon attaining the age of 58.
