Quality or Progress on site-What comes first? And after construction ie. Completion of the project what is important-Quality or work completed on time?

This is a constant dilemma on construction sites. The project manager and his construction team is striving to attain both. His job is to convince the stakeholders that quality takes time and is important for future safety. Good quality also means there is less rework and therefore less time and costs lost in the long run. This skill is an art coupled with knowledge and experience.

Sometimes the Client or the owner of the project also has to be convinced about this dilemma. So, the trick is to achieve both without cost and time overruns!
