While the ‘make in India’ initiative and campaign has received a lot of sound bites, media coverage and Government support, the ‘serve from India’ has been a silent revolution and much more driven by the market forces than Government’s initiative.

Global capability centres, also known as GCCs, are offshore units of multinational corporations that operate across the globe. These centres are responsible for providing various support services, such as IT, finance, human resources, Engineering and analytics, to their parent organizations. There are now more than 1750 GCCs in India employing more than 1.25 million people. Given the fact that the jobs in GCCs provide high-quality employment opportunities, their potential of contributing to the national GDP and export of services is significant. They will hopefully help develop tier II and tier III cities even more and prevent further migration to the already choking urban megacities.

While we are a tiny drop in the ocean of GCCs, we are proud of our export services which are a precursor to the GCCs, as we started these more than a decade ago! We hope to continue to add our bit to the GCC bandwagon.
