The Great Indian Festival season is over with Diwali. There is still time for Christmas. Rains are gone and so the Construction industry will be starting work in full swing till the rains next year.
Ideally, planning for a project is completed during the monsoons with work to begin immediately after the monsoons. The monsoon frequently causes revisions to the baseline schedule and may damage the structural integrity of buildings which can potentially lead to repairs or even in some cases demolition of entire structures among other issues.
Are we following the weather-related industry practices to avoid delays and rework. Should the new projects planning be done through an expert/project planner having the knowledge to carry out the project without being affected by these external factors and avoid unnecessary delays and claims?
