It is budget time again and like every segment of the industry, the real estate sector also has many expectations from the Central Government’s budget. The Indian real estate sector has weathered the pandemic-induced problems and has done reasonably well in the last financial year with positive growth outlook for 2023-24.

Since the Government has a vision/goal of “housing for all”, all efforts to support growth, improving ease of doing business, implementation of innovative technology and protection to the consumers should find a place in the budget. MSMEs, which form a big group of stakeholders in the real estate sector is still grappling with the aftermath of the pandemic and hope to find some succor through budget provision.

All in all, it is that time of anticipation with fingers crossed!
